Because Heat Mirror uses a film with a metallic coating as the functional layer, even when the glass slightly deforms due to strong winds or pressure changes, the reflected image is less likely to distort compared to conventional insulating glass.

Functions of Heat Mirror Glass against convection, radiation, and conduction

Heat Mirror uses dedicated high‑performance spacers. Compared to conventional insulating glass that uses aluminum spacers, it also offers superior insulation performance around the perimeter.

Performance can be further enhanced by combining with various laminated or tempered glass.

  • Due to the structure, rainbow‑colored interference fringes may appear. Please understand this characteristic in advance.
  • Depending on the configuration, the color tone may differ between transmitted and reflected light.
  • To stabilize the internal pressure of the cavity, a small hole (approx. φ0.5) is provided near one edge of the film.
  • If strong force is applied from the edge direction, the film may temporarily deform, but it will return to its original state when the force is removed.
  • During installation, avoid applying excessive force to the edge area.
  • This product has a front and back side. Be sure to install it in the specified orientation.
  • Please also refer to the precautions for Twin Glass in addition to the above.
