Thin Tempered Glass / Thin Light

High StrengthSafety
High Strength

Thanks to heat‑treatment, Shin Light has extremely high strength. The hard type (3.2 mm) achieves approximately the same strength as 6 mm annealed glass. The soft type also has about twice the strength of untreated glass and is effective in preventing thermal breakage.

SafetyUsage Examples

When the hard type breaks, it crumbles into small fragments, helping to reduce secondary damage from broken glass. The soft type breaks into larger fragments than the hard type. Please select according to the required performance and application.

Comparison of double glazing compositions using Shin Light

Using Shin Light in insulating glass makes it possible to improve thermal insulation without changing the overall thickness.
