In September 2015, the "UN Sustainable Development Summit" was held at the UN headquarters, and the "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," new goals to be achieved by 2030 that succeed the MDGs, were adopted unanimously by 193 countries. The SDGs consist of 17 goals and 169 targets to achieve a sustainable world, and pledge to "leave no one behind."
